Demos recorded in the echo chamber basement of Villard Hall in Eugene, OR before the recording of "Aloud." This was the summer of 2009, right after I graduated college, and two years before "Aloud" was released.

It features alternate lyrics of songs that ended up "Aloud," as well as a revival of a live-favorite that first appeared on the "Reach Like Trees" EP. Also the never-before-heard "Vegetarian pt. Two." Oooo!

The EP's title, and final track– refers to an annual spring tradition. Every end-of-the-term, we'd organize the acquisition of many drinks and offer them, for free, to anyone who passed by in the dark on the giant lawn between student houses. The idea was novel enough that it really took off. Campus security would come and try to break the parties up, but we'd all just scatter in the darkness and return a bit later to the same spot and start again. The parties grew each year, and by my final year it was an enormous gathering, with a large representation of the student population. This artwork was made using a low-res snapshot from that night, dug up from an old hard drive. We heard that the tradition was carried on for at least several years after we left.

This release is dedicated to the current seniors of Bennington College. I hope you get to party like there's no tomorrow with your best friends again someday!
